Urban Development Agreements
An Urban Development Agreement (UDA) is a
partnership of federal, provincial and municipal
governments working in collaboration together with
the community on issues such as inner city
revitalization, economic development and community
resiliency.
Currently, the Vancouver Agreement, an urban
development agreement with the City of Vancouver and
the federal and provincial governments, has been
renewed for a second five-year term. The Branch is
working to develop urban renewal agreements with the
municipalities of Victoria and Surrey.
The Community Partnerships Branch has been
designated by the Province as the lead agency in the
development and administration of these agreements.
