Community to Community (C2C) Forum ProgramThe Ministry of Community Services supports the Community to Community (C2C) Forum Program by providing funds
to the Union of British Columbia
Municipalities (UBCM) to help administer the program. The program provides funding for local government and First
Nations elected officials to jointly host forums to discuss issues, challenges and opportunities to work together. To date, the C2C Forum
Program has funded more than 170 local forums and three province-wide forums – involving more than 130
local governments and almost 200 First Nations and tribal councils. Communities that have held forums are supportive
of the program. The insights and experience of forum organizers are contained in the
Guide to Community to Community
Forums in British Columbia The C2C Forum Program is jointly administered by the UBCM and the First
Nations Summit, which also receives funding from Indian
and Northern Affairs Canada for the program costs. Information on how to apply for funding is available through the
UBCM and the
First Nations Summit C2C application form
The C2C Connect Newsletter is a co-publication of the First Nations Summit and the UBCM. The newsletter
features stories of First Nations and local governments working together.
