WESTBANK - March 17, 2008 - Community
Services Minister Ida Chong (centre), federal Public Safety Minister
Stockwell Day, and UBCM president Susan Gimse signed a $1-billion
extension for the Gas Tax Fund between 2010 and 2014. The fund
supports environmentally sustainable local government infrastructure
projects that lead to cleaner air, cleaner water, or reduced
greenhouse gas emissions.
