Stopping The Violence Branch is responsible for funding, managing and administering programs to support:

Community Based Program and Services

• Stopping the Violence
  Community-based prevention projects and counselling programs for women who have experienced violence.
• Transition Houses, Safe Homes and Second-Stage Housing
  Services for women and children leaving abusive relationships.
• Children Who Witness Abuse
  Counselling for children who have witnessed abuse, and their families.

Women's and Seniors' Policy Branch provides policy analysis and research support to government on issues that affect women and seniors.
